About Ahmed Seliem — Software Engineer & Systems Builder

I’m Ahmed Seliem — a software engineer, product builder, and systems thinker.

I spend most of my time designing and building backend-heavy systems, modernizing legacy software, and thinking about how technology scales in the real world — not just in theory. My background is rooted in .NET, distributed systems, databases, and cloud infrastructure, but what really excites me is connecting technical decisions to business outcomes.

I’m naturally drawn to complex problems: messy data, unclear requirements, legacy constraints, performance bottlenecks, and systems that need to evolve without breaking. I enjoy going deep — understanding why something works (or doesn’t), not just how to implement it.

Beyond pure software, I care a lot about products, brands, and execution. I think like an engineer, but I evaluate ideas like a founder: feasibility, cost, timing, and long‑term value matter.

I’m currently building and experimenting across software platforms, infrastructure, and product ideas — with a long‑term ambition of creating companies, not just codebases.
